Monaco have beaten Olympiakos 1-0 in their pre-season friendly; thanks to a Park Chu-Young goal in the 6th minute. The hosts had a number of opportunities with Park heading the ball goal-wards, only to be punched away by the keeper.

Roy pondering move for striking duo
Roy Hodgson will decide whether to make bids for Park Chu-Young and Gervinho early next week. Liverpool are aiming to break into the asian market and buying Park would certainly increase their publicity in the far east. Park has expressed his desire to leave Monaco and the Ivory Coast star would also jump at the chance to join the reds. The Korean would cost around £6 million, whereas Gervinho could cost nearly double that amount.

Park returns to the squad
Chu-Young has recovered from the sore knee which kept him out of the Dynamo Moscow friendly. He is now in the squad to face Olympiakos tomorrow and could start the match partnering the Romanian international Daniel Niculae up front.
Guy Lacombe will be without the striker Yannick Sagbo, after he picked up a hamstring injury in the 3-1 win over Dynamo Moscow.

Reds close in on Park Chu-Young
Roy Hodgson is closing in on Monaco striker Park Chu-Young, after the South Korean told Monaco he wants to leave the club.
The Liverpool manager was keen to sign the striker last season when he was at Fulham; however Park preferred to stay at Monaco. The Korean's speed, work ethic and intelligent play has caught the eye of a number of EPL teams over the past few months.
Now at a bigger club, Roy Hodgson will tempt Monaco to part company with the Korean ace by tabling a £6 million bid.

Tomorrow :)
Tomorrow I'll get started on making this blog as good as it can be! I'm beginning to like this "Blogger" stuff already.
Welcome to the new Park Chu-Young Blog!
This is the new blog for all fans of the South Korean footballer, Park Chu-Young. I am a huge fan of Chu-Young myself and have been following him and korean football in general since 2006. I'm hoping this blog will allow more fans to gain access to the latest news and information about the football genius.
Please feel free to message me if you think that improvements can be made. I am new to Blogger and it may take me some time to figure out all of the features!
Many thanks, Tommo
